Leo von Lowenthal

Leo von Lowenthal is a handsome 12 month old black sable shepherd mixed with a slightly smaller breed. Leo is our first foster dog who lives on a boat! He has adjusted well to boat life according to his foster dad. During the day Leo goes to doggy daycare. His foster dad says, he “continues to love all dogs, big, small, and in between”. You can see why Leo is very popular at doggy daycare. They are trying hard to network him to help find him a wonderful forever home too. Leo’s foster dad goes on to say, “He does fine with cats, and we're working on just ignoring them as he would like to play chase with them.  No aggression tho', all tail wags and bouncing. We have a wild mallard duck that has picked a really poor place to nest and we now walk right by that with little more than a glance.  He's really sharp”. Leo is gentle and very easy. He likes to follow his foster dad around and sleep by his feet. Leo is working on his training, he is housebroken or boat broken and  knows his commands, sits, walks well, working on healing and stay, but is a quick leaner,  Leo is still a little shy with new people, his foster dad tells Leo to “say hello” and then he knows it is okay! Leo loves other dogs; he would do well with a family with other dogs. Doggy daycare is important because he is in a boat but otherwise he would be fine home with some furry friends.
